I have been buying and selling comics and collectibles since 1960 and have been serving collectors worldwide via mail order and convention sales since the early 1980s. I specialize in 1930s to 1960s era comics and other pop culture related collectibles such as magazines, paperbacks, trading cards, postcards, Big Little Books, Pulps, Sunday Comic Sections, Pinback Buttons, World War II era items, Pinup/Glamour Collectibles, Calendars and Vintage Advertising. Please check out my website at: www.paulscollectibles.com for a better idea of the type of collectibles I deal in. I am a full-service Trading Assistant. Using my 47+ years experience in the hobby I will handle all aspects of selling your collection while maintaining your privacy. I come to your house anywhere in the Central Florida Area, inventory the items, list them and sell them on eBay, ship them, and provide you with an itemized list of all items sold with the sale price and my fees. You can reach me via email at pdyroff@cfl.rr.com - I will usually respond within 24 hours. Please note I typically only sell items worth at least $50.
I charge a flat 60% fee for all individual items or lots that sell for $999 or less or 40% for all items or lots that sell for $1000 or more. This includes all fees and costs associated with selling your items: ebay listing and final value fees, Paypal fees, merchant fees, shipping materials, postage and insurance costs and labor. You get from 40-60% for your collectibles without any of the sweat and headaches - that's my job!
I can sell your items either in my ebay store or in auction. Store sales usually take longer than auctions, but items typically sell for higher prices than via auction sales. There is no guarantee as to how long a store item may take to sell. Some items sell quickly while others may take much longer, possibly up to a year or more. If you want to maximize the amount you get for your collectibles, and aren't in a hurry to get paid, then having me sell your items in my store listings may be the way to go. If you want to get paid quickly, then auctions are a good option. I usually will start the bidding at 25-40% of Guide Value. Experience has shown me that better quality and rare comics are in strong demand and usually sell for good prices, sometimes even greater than Overstreet Guide values, however there is no guarantee that the item will sell for the opening bid or higher. These are the things to consider when selling via auctions. On the plus side, the turnaround is much shorter. On auction listings, the typical turnaround time from when I list your items to when you get paid is between 4 to 6 weeks, sometimes quicker. If you want to get paid quickly for your collection then auctions are a good option. On auction listings that don't sell, I will relist them at no extra charge. If the items don't sell the second time then the consignor has the option of having me relist it a third time at a reduced starting bid or I can return the items to you. In the event that unsold items are requested to be returned to the consignor, the fees incurred by ebay for listing the unsold items would be paid by the consignor plus return postage costs and a $5 fee per each unsold listing to cover labor and other costs associated with preparing the listing for submission. These charges are only in effect in this scenario, they do not apply to store sales or successful auction sales. Please call me or email me if you have any questions.
